Description of Contest
PE Central wants to award children who log their steps and/or miles consistently! Therefore every Monday we will do a prize drawing for a PE Central T-shirt. The more a child enters a valid log of their activity steps and/or miles during the week the better chance they have to win a PEC T-shirt. For example, if a child enters 7 days of physical activity steps over the course of a week that child has a greater chance of winning the T-shirt compared to a child who only has 3 activity log entries. It is a random drawing done at the PE Central office with the winners school, city and state being announced on the front page of LOG IT. We will also send a T-shirt to the teacher or group leader who registered the school. The teacher or group leader will receive an email from PE Central indicating the winners name and school address. We will mail the shirts to the teacher at the school so the teacher can distribute.
How the Contest/Prize Drawing Works
To enter a teacher, parent, organization leader or an adult must register their school, homeschool, or family. Children then must register under that entity and in one of the classes set up by the adult group leader.
Children must then start logging their pedometer steps and/or miles on the site.
Prize drawings:
Every Monday PE Central will choose a child who wins the Prize drawing. To enter, the child must enter a log (steps and/or miles) at least once that week. The more entries a child makes during the week (7 days-Monday-Sunday is the max) the better chance the child has at winning the drawing. The most entries a child can make for a week is 7. Therfore if a student makes 3 entries in one day (morning, noon, at night) that does not count as 3 entries. It counts as one. A child making 3 log entries during the week does not have as good of a chance to win as the child who makes 7 entries of steps and/or miles for the week.
A T-shirt prize will also be awarded to the teacher/group leader of the school/organization/family. Both T-shirts will be mailed to the adult who registered the school, organization or household. PE Central does NOT ask for the home address, email, or phone number of any of the students registered in Log It. All correspondence and mailings are done through the teacher or group leader who registered the school, organization or family.Prizes are drawn randomly from the pool of winners from the past week. This will take place on Monday's and prizes will be mailed once a week. Expect prizes to be delivered within 2-4 weeks of the drawing date. The approximate value of the individual prize is about $5.00.
Contest/Prize Drawing Dates:
The contest will NOT be available year round. It is NOT available during the following months:
- June 1-August 31
- Dec. 1-Jan. 15
Our estimation is that the contest will be available from Sept. 1 - Dec. 1 and then from Jan. 15 - May 31.
Eligibility:
Anyone under 18 years of age and anyone from across the globe can win the weekly prize. No purchase is necessary to enter the contest/prize drawing.
Employees of PE Central, PE Technologies, and S&S Worldwide and members of their families are not eligible to for the prize drawings. All federal, state, and local laws and regulations apply.
Limit:
There is NO limit to the number of times a person can enter and can become eligible for the prize drawing.
Teacher/Group Leader Responsibilities/Conditions for Participation:
The teacher who registers their school is responsible to provide PE Central with an accurate email and school postal address. In addition, they are expected to distribute the prizes of winning students from their school to the appropriate students.
If prizes are returned due to an incorrect address, PE Central will make no attempt to redeliver the prizes and no alternative winner for that week will be chosen.
Privacy:
For the registration portion of the contest, PE Central will not share any of the addresses or other contact information that is collected from the teacher without express written permission of the student. In no cases will the contact information gathered be sold to a third party.
